Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between refurbished and used?

The main difference between "refurbished" and "used" products is that refurbished products have been tested and verified to function properly, and are thus free of defects, while "used" products may or may not be defective. Refurbished products may be unused customer returns that are essentially "new" items, or they may be defective products that were returned under warranty, and then re-built or repaired to exclude any defects. All refurbished products have been meticulously tested to ensure proper function.

Other types of products that may be sold as "refurbished" include:

  • Items used in field tests, sales displays or demonstrations
  • Items returned for reasons other than defect, and tested by the manufacturer
  • Items returned to the manufacturer because the box or item was damaged in shipping
  • Leftover equipment sold by a downsized company to a 3rd party refurbisher
Pre-owned strollers have been cleaned to the standards of our “basic cleaning, meaning they have been vacuumed and wiped down by the consigner. The conditioning grades are all moved down one score, so a Preowned grade one would be equivalent to a refurbished grade two.

    What doesopen boxmean?

Open box items are goods  returned by customers, inspected by the retailer, found to be in good working order, and then sold at a discount rather than being returned to the manufacturer. It may be missing the original packaging, and it may have slight damage.

Do refurbished items come with a warranty?

Yes. All of our refurbished items come with one year warranty through sudzybuggy. Most will also qualify for the original manufacturer warranty, but please ask us to ensure this is the case. Please see our warranty information page for further details.

Do you have a brick and mortar location?

We have a warehouse locked in Kanata, Ontario, and another satellite location in Mississauga, Ontario, but no storefront at the moment.

Can I view items before purchasing?

Absolutely! Please contact us to book an appointment.

What does your refurbishment process entail?

All refurbished products are thoroughly inspected to identify and resolve any problems. For open box items, this may only include an inspection for damage or faults. For pre-owned items, the process is as follows:

All fabrics are vacuumed and then removed. They are hand washed and any stains are treated. Next they are steam cleaned at 375 degrees to kill any remaining bacteria. They are then dried under our heat lamps to reduce water marks.

The frame is inspected for damage, and any issues are fixed. It is then steam cleaned to kill any bacteria, and the wheels are given a full detailing to ensure they are rolling like new and sparkling clean. All joints, wheels and mechanisms are tightened, adjusted, cleaned and lubricated. Finally, the frame is polished and any scratched are minimized, and the wheels are sprayed back to black.

Follwing this, the stroller will have another full inspection and any defects will be noted under its sku. Any parts that fall outside of our level of satisfaction will be replaced (as we only sell items in good contusion or better). It will then be graded under one of the following categories:  like new, excellent, or good condition.

    How are items cleaned?

All items are specially soaked, washed and scrubbed using all-natural, eco-friendly and organic cleaning products. We then use commercial grade steam cleaners to blast out any remaining stains and kill all remaining bacteria. Items are then laid flat to dry in a humidity free zone.

How long does it take to have a stroller cleaned?

Depending on your item, it usually takes 48 hours to complete the cleaning and drying process. Mold treatments require an additional 24 hours. We are able to clean almost any stroller, carseat, or baby item and guarantee all of our work.

What do you use to clean strollers, bassinets and baby gear?

We use steam, vinegar, baking soda, lemon juice and a tiny bit of castor soap to clean your items. Nearly every stroller we clean comes in contact with tiny hands, as our children love to be apart of the process. As parents ourselves, we are committed to using only the safest, most natural products.

    Can you remove all stains?

Any stubborn stains will be paid particular attention. That being said, we unfortunately cannot guarantee complete stain removal. We have had thousands of customers though who were literally gob smacked at how amazing their items looked after being cleaned by us. Check out our gallery for some pretty astonishing before and afters.
